Overview

PicXure is built on a simple promise: your images are yours, and they never leave your Mac. The app runs inside the macOS App Sandbox, processes every image locally, uploads nothing, and contains no telemetry, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. There is no account to create and no cloud storage to trust.

Images never leave your Mac

Every image you open or paste into PicXure — along with every annotation, crop, and export — is processed entirely on your device. Your images are never transmitted to us, to our payment processor, or to any third party. Redacting a screenshot with the mosaic tool before sending it works precisely because the app has no data to leak.

What is stored locally

The app stores the following data on your Mac only:

  • Images and annotations — handled in memory and written to disk only where you choose to save them.
  • Preferences — such as language, default output format, and the last save folder.
  • Trial counters — kept in the macOS Keychain so your free trial state survives a reinstall.
  • License key — stored securely in the macOS Keychain, never in plain text.

Network access and license validation

The only network request the app ever makes is a license validation check against our licensing service. This check transmits your license key and a minimal activation record — never your images, files, or personal documents. After activation the app works offline, with a 7-day grace period between successful validations. If your Mac is offline for longer than the grace period, the app will ask you to reconnect before Pro features resume; no local data is ever lost or deleted.

Purchases and payment processing

Pro licenses are sold through our payment processor, Creem. When you purchase, Creem processes your payment details under its own privacy policy and issues your license key by email. We receive only the information required to fulfill the license: your email address, the license key, and the device-activation status (up to 3 Macs per license). We have no access to your full payment details.

This website

picxure.app is a static website. It sets no advertising cookies and runs no profiling scripts. We use Google Analytics to measure aggregate traffic, with IP anonymization enabled; no personally identifiable data is collected or shared. If our measurement practices change, this section and the page itself will be updated first.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and publish the new version on this page before it takes effect.
